Dealing With P.M.S. (Pre-Marital Syndrome)

It’s one of the most exciting times of your life. You can’t eat, you can’t sleep, you can barely breath. It must be all the happiness and exhilaration. Or, it can also be all the anxious anticipation and, dare I stress.

Stress, as defined by the experts refers to any situation demanding successful coping techniques and perhaps extending beyond your available resources. But, no need to stress. Stress in quite natural and not always a negative. In fact, much of our positive life experiences are accompanied by “stress”…our first date, our first kiss, awaiting a call-back from Mr. Right, even the anticipation of the star-studded selection that sits perched upon your finger.

So, why should your wedding day be any different? It marks one of the most important and happy times of your life. It’s perfectly normal to have butterflies in your stomach. From finally finding your perfect match to being left with the task of making your day simply perfect there’s lot to do before you say “I do”. Each decision demands your full attention and thought and must take into account not only personal tastes, but finances and pleasing your loved ones.

But no need to distress…instead experts suggest you de-stress instead. Stressing over stress only brings out more of it. Accept you mission as a rewarding challenge….and have fun with it. Take time away from the wedding and focus on you, your mate and the relationship…you may even want to secure the help of a professional.
